TRIPOWIN C8 CABLE REVIEW

Tripowin C8 Cable Review: Apart from the TRIPOWIN TP10, Tripowin also has another interesting product: TRIPOWIN C8 8-Core Silver Copper Foil Braided Cable.

I received the cable in a clear plastic bag, at USD 29.99 I don’t expect any fancy packaging but perhaps a simple pouch will go a long way.

I wish I knew this earlier, Please take note that the Tripowin C8 Cable has several options for the cable interface:

  • MMCX
It’s universally accepted like Shure, Westone, Sony and other MMCX interface In-Ear Monitoring.
  • 2 Pin Connector
It’s also universally accepted by the compatible model such as Noble Audio, iBasso, etc
  • Recessed 2 Pins
This is an upgraded version of the 2 Pin connector providing better durability compared to the normal 2 Pin connectors.

BUILD & DESIGN

The cable adopts special braiding technique, the technique is unique because the tinsel wire is manufactured by wrapping several strands of thin copper or copper foil around a textile core such as Kevlar.

Because the conductor is very thin, it is extremely flexible. Meanwhile, the fabric core provides high tensile strength.

First time when I see and touch the cable, it reminded me for a beautiful rainbow snake. The cable is light and flexible. it has a good feeling to it and braided nicely.

not only the interface but you’ll have the option to choose the termination point as 2.5mm, 4mm or 3.5mm.

What we’ve here is the 3.5mm jack with the Recessed 2Pin/QDC Connector.

The jack is solid with the gold plated connection. The Tube made from aluminum with a carbon design.

The Jack provide good strain relief and is build pretty well.

The Tripowin C8 cable Y-split has the same design as the 3.5mm jack with aluminum and carbon design.

The ability to adjust the length with the transparent sphere is great. it can be easily done and hold up pretty well.

Like I mentioned before in the KZ Pro and Tripowin TP10, the recessed 2Pin/QDC Connector, I do appreciate the design and I think it’s more durable than the normal 2 pins but you are limited only to Tripowin, KZ or QDC earphone.

I kind of regret didn’t know there are options if I knew I’ll take the normal 2 Pin interface connector.

Microphonic is almost perfect. there’s almost no noise coming out when it rubbed against my clothes.

Sound Impression Tripowin C8 Cable Review

LOWS

Tripowin C8 cable able to give room to breathe in the Low, it creates more spacious and better separation.

you’ll hear a better vibration of impact without overpowering the low region.

Those note that was hidden immediately revealed. The bass is more lively.

MIDS

I’m surprised on the ability to bring out the mids while playing back and forth the songs like Lucky – Jason Mraz, Colbie Caillat, Say Something – Great big world, Christina Aguilera, Messed Up – Once Monsters, Chole Adams.

The mids are sweet with more transparency and boldness. Both female and male vocals is natural and has more emphasis on the overall sound layers.

HIGHS

I don’t notice a significant improvement compared to the lows and the mids.

It pushes a little bit too much on the highs, overall balance becomes a little bit affected because of the sparkly, sometimes it gives you a zing which either you love or hate it.

TRIPOWIN C8 CABLE REVIEW SUMMARY

I like the performance of this cable, it does make a difference that you can quantify especially in the lows and mids.

Even though the asking price is only USD 29.99 but the quality and build don’t disappoint and it is above its value.

If you are thinking to upgrade your KZ or Tripowin IEM with this cable, I’m pretty sure that you will be satisfied with the performance and price. Hearing the stock cable vs the Tripwoin C8 upgrade cable is like reading a text written in pencil vs pen, it gives boldness into the music.

My only regret, I should’ve ordered the normal 2 pins interface instead of the Recessed 2 Pins so that I can try this on with my other IEM. Okay one more thing, a pouch would be great.

You can purshase the Tripowin C8 upgrade cable from Amazon or Linsoul website.
